Phoenix Telescoping Flagpole with Free American Flag, Securi-Shur Anti-Theft Locking Clamp, and Lifetime Anti-Theft Guarantee

🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 4 star review from Scott M.: Great American-Made Product! We ordered the 25' Dark Bronze Telescoping flagpole and are very happy with it so far. The fit and finish are nice and the lanyard-less feature is a convenient feature. The included 4x6 flag is excellent. Installation instructions were clear, and when followed properly, you should have a sturdy, long-lasting flag pole. Overall, for the price, it's a little steep, considering you will still need to spend another $60-$80 on construction materials to install it yourself. That said, we appreciate the pole being made in America and sold by an American company. We appreciate the excellent customer service and the fast delivery. So, we're willing to pay a bit more. A couple of additional notes: 1) The "brass" ball needs some refinement. It's included in the kit, but it looks and feels like a cheap painted Christmas ornament from WalMart. It's included in the kit, but we installed the optional 800 Series LED light at the top, so you don't really see it anyway. 2) The 800-series LED light ($200 extra) is OK, but at 25' off the ground it is not as bright as we expected. Not sure if a lot of the accessories are US made either, as they resemble a lot of the similar items found on Amazon. 3) At 25', with two flags, in a good wind, be prepared for a workout to get the last section lifted into place, twisted and locked! If you are under 6' 2" tall, we also recommend building/having a sturdy step stool or other support at the base to stand on during raising as the top of the bottom section comes to my eye level (I'm 6'-2") which still puts my hands at about head height to raise the pole. I would also recommend a good, grippy garden glove or other glove that has a tacky surface to give you a better grip for raising or lowering. 4) The Delrin swivels that the flag(s) attach to can bind under lower wind speeds/breezes - particularly the top swivel. I tried a bit of waterproof bicycle bottom bracket grease (on the top collar only!), but not sure it helped much. Perhaps over time wear on the collars will help loosen things up. Being an engineer, perhaps I'm a bit more particular, and see some room for improvement over a wide range of product features. Nonetheless, would I buy it again? Yes. From Atlantic? Yes. Would I wait for a sale? Yes. Would I buy the 800 series light? Maybe not. Might keep shopping around. But, it matches the house perfectly, can be seen coming up the driveway and from around the property - and looks good flying the Stars and Stripes! Thank You, Atlantic. https://ift.tt/2lw0BKX
